Epitech Paris 2019

Welcome to my Epitech experience

blog

Pre-Departure 6/20/19

I would like to begin this blog by thanking everyone who made this experience possible. CSUSM’S global studies department has helped me tremendously throughout the application process and has prepared me for what will be a new life experience. I would also like to thank Mrs. Brooke Coutteau for keeping me in close contact with the Epitech coordinators and all of the extra advice she has provided me with.

Initially when I first applied to Epitech I was fascinated with the curriculum that they immersed their students in. This made me very excited, but it was not until I further discussed the program with Mrs. Coutteau that I became aware of how the program could really help me beyond the academic side of the program. Mrs. Coutteau connected me with an Epitech alumni (Current CSUSM student) named Sophia; who gave me insight on what the program consisted of. Sophia made it clear that this program would give me the opportunity to meet people from all over the world. This made me very excited as I had never imagined I would have the opportunity to build global connections until at least after I graduated.

I plan on taking advantage of the connections I make abroad and hopefully use the programming skills I gain at Epitech on a global scale. I would like to do things such as partner with those connections in the future to create projects or even globally communicate the projects I choose to launch on my own.

With artificial intelligence and robotics being so versatile in the world these days there is no telling what tactics or types of technology I will be using in my work at Epitech. I intend on bringing back any useful tactics or methods of learning that I gain abroad which are not used as often here in the United States and implementing them in my own individual work style. I hope that this will help me stand out as a candidate applying for jobs in the future.

I imagine this program will help expose me to the different ways in which artificial intelligence and robotics can help make the world much more efficient. I am the utmost grateful and ecstatic to have the opportunity to be a part of an amazing program in one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
